System 3000 Installed at LSU Fire and Emergency Training Institute.
During the week of March 21-25, 2005 NetTalon installed the System 3000 at the LSU Fire & Emergency Training Institute. David Kimmel, NetTalon's Director of Engineering and Brian Whitaker, Manager of Technical Support worked with LSU on-site personnel under the direction of Chris Spurlock. The team completed the installation on Friday, March 25 at the Institute's burn-building.
The System 3000 installation included a NetTalon 3210 Security/Fire Alarm Control Panel and a 3220 Device Interface Unit equipped with both 3220-01 SI-16 and 3220-03 ST-16 Application Specific Modules. Sensors installed included both smoke sensors and NetTalon's 3310-01 Digital Temperature Sensors. In addition, NetTalon installed a wireless network designed to test the remote monitoring capabilities of the System 3000. During actual burn tests fire fighters using LSU
vehicles or their own will view the fire remotely through wireless connectivity to the System 3000 for early decision making
as they deploy to the burn building to rescue victims and fight the fire.

NetTalon would like to thank Chris Spurlock and all members of the LSU Fire & Emergency Training Institute for their support and expert advice. NetTalon plans to use the test facility to validate the performance advantages of NetTalon patented System 3000 technology. NetTalon sees these tests as instrumental in proving NetTalon's claim of providing first responders with real-time emergency information during fire emergencies.
